Feb 19, 2010 - srry for the double comment but whenever they dive to grab ur legs i advise instead of backing up i would just kik them in the face if u land a good kick to the face when they dive don like that there done and if u hit them right u could proably break smeones neck if u kick there head back far enough
RIPeacemaker Says:
Feb 21, 2010 - The problem is that you'll never be able to get a good kick on their face. By the time you notice your opponen't going for your leg, it's too late. If you try to kick, your kick will be weak because of the lack of momentum, meaning you're practically giving your leg away because your opponent will be way past your kick's optimal hit range. If you try to stomp, you leave your other leg wide open, and then there's the balance issue, as well as the momentum one again.

Feb 24, 2010 - bit useless in a bar or a club if you take some one to the ground you will get ur head stomped on by others best keep on your feet boxer or muaythai would be best

sunyboy333 Says:
Feb 25, 2010 - This looks like BJJ rather than traditional Japanese Jujitsu
sunyboy333 Says:
Feb 25, 2010 - you need to keep in mind this is was designed by samurai for unarmed field combataikido deals heavily with not going to the ground and taking on multiple opponents at the same time (aikido is a subpart of classic jujitsu btw so if you know jujitsu u know aikido)look it up
StuckYa79 Says:
Feb 26, 2010 - @obsidian if its not "real" then what is? 3 on 1 in an alley? top level guys do compete its called adcc look it up? top lvl judo? olympic sport? yes, it is. judo dosnt have take downs? do you train bro? cause i do... and trust me, its not ALL THROWS. So what true masters dont compete? the ones who cant because they are bull shit. Tv brainwashing is thinking kung fu is gonna work moron. If you want, the first weeks free at my gym, your welcome to come see my "fake sport fighting"
StuckYa79 Says:
Feb 26, 2010 - they train a mix of both up at that school im pretty sure.
StuckYa79 Says:
Feb 26, 2010 - Ok i want someone to link these "masters" a black belt in BJJ is a master, you can watch them at all the tournys. Ive seen karate, kung fu, TKD and JKD "Masters" and instructors, lose to basic JJ let alone someone with a base in JJ and then mixing in other arts, a master in one will not beat someone whos got a better all around game, find me a video of ANYONE who uses one art and wins a NHB fight. go watch UFC 1 for all your 5th dan karate masters getting choked for 20 mins if you want
PaulTheJudoka Says:
Feb 26, 2010 - @StuckYa79 I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10000 times more than the man who has practiced 10000 kicks 1 time.

Feb 28, 2010 - That was f*ing sweet
yates161 Says:
Mar 1, 2010 - true masters don't compete because they know what martial arts is for :SELF-DEFENSE! UFC is nothing but fighting for money and for the sake of fighting. Tournament styles are not martial arts. If you stop an inch in front of my face I will make you pay for that. Each style does work only in certain situations very few work all around.

Mar 3, 2010 - every fighting art has its benifits lets say this...a bowl of fruit just kos your having an orange today doesnt mean an apple is no good..hows that for philosopycal bitches!!
frenchieamelia Says:
Mar 3, 2010 - i believe your right but jiu-jitsu came from the ground aspect of judo. the ground aspect is what we now call jiu-jitsu
Ravenblazer Says:
Mar 4, 2010 - sparring rocks!!!
deadlypalms Says:
Mar 6, 2010 - Is this BJJ or trad JJ? It looks a bit like trad JJ judging by the green belts, heavily influenced by Judo/BJJ but with sloppier takedowns. Maybe i'm being harsh and it was only lower belts who had untechnical double-leg takedowns etc. Watch out for knees. ;)
icantthinkofanythinp Says:
Mar 6, 2010 - actualy buddy judo came from traditional jujitsu. so did aikido and BJJ. Its a missconception a lot of people have.hope i could help.
frenchieamelia Says:
Mar 7, 2010 - actually my friend your incorrect. jiu-jitsu came from judo. newaza is what the ground aspect is called from judo. jiu-jitsu ariginated from the ground aspect of judo
icantthinkofanythinp Says:
Mar 7, 2010 - i belive what youre thinking is brazilian jujitsu. But Jigoro Kano the inventor of judo was a talented jujitsu practitioner who took the punches out and refine the throws and ground fighting creating what we call today judo. greetings!
Obzy09 Says:
