Mar 5, 2010 - I myself have been in boxing for about 6 years and what i have learned is sparring isn't a measuring rod to see who's better it is about fine tuning skills and improving upon them. As FrizzyBlue said Silva wouldn't dominate top boxers because his skills are more well rounded than just focused on a particular discipline like a boxer.
dano1b Says:
Mar 5, 2010 - silva might be able to fight top boxer if he gave up mma abit. you must admit he got potential for all you guys that don't know. also Silva went to the right gym. i honestly think Silva was playing with that guy a bit too. hes great at both bjj and kickboxing he's definitely "Top".
JediKnight1007 Says:
Mar 5, 2010 - Not sure what all the debate is about. All I saw was an MMA fighter who is at the top of the game trying to improve an "aspect" of his fight game with the boxing training. He's got Freddie Roach one of the best trainer's in boxing in his corner so his skills will defintely improve. He's not going to be a pro boxer and he's not as good as an elite boxer IMHO but that's okay because I don't think he wants to. He's a great MMA fighter.
1PabloEscobar1 Says:
Mar 7, 2010 - My God, Silva is a MUCH better boxer than I thought
TheNumberOneNoob Says:
Mar 7, 2010 - that other guy was sweatin biscuits when anderson was just playin around. that was awesome
joboxer Says:
Mar 8, 2010 - FrizzyBlue is 100% right about everyting he said. Anderson Silva is an OUTSTANDING MMA fighter but he will only be a good pro boxer vs an OUTSTANDING pro boxer.
joboxer Says:
Mar 8, 2010 - BTW, this dude is NOT a good boxer. He's slow, has no foot work, doesnt move his head good, doesnt have good defense & doesnt put no pressure. He would be just an ok fighter, if that, in ALOT of boxers eyes. Nothing against Anderson Silva.... I like the dude, & I think he's the best MMA fighter in the world but he definately needs to work on his boxing skills some more.
mechak Says:
Mar 10, 2010 - honestly though, it looked like the shirtless guy was boxing and silva was practicing his "boxing" for mma.
69luxurious Says:
Mar 10, 2010 - Freddie Roach would own Silva.
babatolu12 Says:
Mar 11, 2010 - SILVA IS A FUCKING BEAST. No one can fuck with him. No one.
xwavestr Says:
Mar 11, 2010 - Yeah, I would say so too , but I wouldn't because he's skilled in muay Thai , which combined with jiu jitsu, fucks people up, boxing would just do shit all .
xwavestr Says:
Mar 11, 2010 - He knows Muay Thai .
1UmmahProject Says:
Mar 12, 2010 - hes a better boxer than i thought he would bemost mma guys are not as good at boxing i think the guy hes sparring with is Rashad Holloway hes rated at 122 in the world in his division .
cyrus138 Says:
Mar 12, 2010 - It is a gym after all and they often pair you up to spar with a pro one day and an amateur the next. I remember being paired with a semi-pro on my first day in muay thai and then a 15 year old after.
TGUNZ562 Says:
Mar 12, 2010 - He is not sparring Rashad Holloway. Rashad is way smaller than both Anderson and the guy that he is sparring in this vid.
TGUNZ562 Says:
Mar 12, 2010 - Thats probably exactly whats going on. Plus, Anderson is a Muay Thai guy so, we can't expect to see too many boxing fundamentals from him.
TGUNZ562 Says:
Mar 12, 2010 - You couldn't be more wrong. Anderson is not slow, he has very good footwork, his defense is incredible, and pressure fighters usually suck. Anderson would kncok Roy Jones Jr. TFO at this point of his career, which isn't saying much but, he would.
TGUNZ562 Says:
Mar 12, 2010 - It looks like the dude Anderson is sparring outweighs him by about 20 pounds. Anderson wore this dude out!
MonteyCarlo92081 Says:
Mar 12, 2010 - wwoooooooohhhhoooooooo now i have a reason to vote for silva, cause his boxing coach is also manny pac's!!!!!!!!
DonPBeast16 Says:
Mar 12, 2010 - freddie roach trains the best
jmorengo2000 Says:
Mar 13, 2010 - only 'til recently tho has f. roach been silva's coach. he's training silva b/c silva & roy jones jr. agreed to a boxing match after silva's done w/ the ufc which is in like 2-3 fights.
sidchimaera Says:
Mar 13, 2010 - That one cat was really going for it, Anderson was just out there playin'.
SterlokStalker Says:
Mar 14, 2010 - was that pacquiao watching?
raysup Says:
Mar 14, 2010 - 8:59 Anderson gets owned. Right hook to the body, right uppercut, right hook to the jaw, left hook to the jaw, and a straight right jab that almost breaks his neck. LOL!

FrizzyBlue Says:
Mar 3, 2010 - to beat the top boxers at 175, 200 lbs, and above.
